Welcome to the official website of John Herbert, the author. John Herbert's first book, Rules Get Broken was released in August of 2009. It is the story of his first wife's death but also and perhaps more importantly, the story of the untimely and unlikely relationship that followed with the young woman who lived next door and who has been his wife for the last twenty-seven years.

Rules Get Broken deals with love lost through death, love found, and the collateral damage along the way and demonstrates what love is...and isn't.

John Herbert appeared as the featured guest for a one hour interview on FoxNews Radio's "Plain Jane Wisdom" on November 2, 2011 to discuss his book "Rules Get Broken" with hosts Devon O'Day and Kim McLean. "Plain Jane Wisdom" airs nightly on WLAC, 1510 AM at 7:00 PM CST. It is broadcast in 28 states on 1510 AM and streamed live at www.wlac.com.
